10. Caribbean – Brazil – Recife 2 of 2

Hi All,

OK, let’s continue Recife.  If you haven’t already read Recife 1 of 2 below, please do before continuing here.

To finish up with the center of Recife, I know you would be disappointed if we didn’t follow Susy in her shopping ventures.  Here she is at one of the many street markets we encountered:

We got in a taxi at this point and went off to a village called Olinda.  It is one of Brazil’s best preserved colonial cities.  Apart from that, the view back to Recife is spectacular.

A look at Olinda:

Oh, they had a market:

and a church:

Before we left Olinda we had to stop for a cool one:

and getting into the taxi I caught this building, which seemed a little different with its roof decoration:

We stopped at Recife Monday, 5 Feb..  Tomorrow, Tuesday, 6 Feb. we stop in Maceio.  Until then:

Love You All,

Gary (alias Gagu)
