WE’RE SAILING AGAIN. Beginning Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 we cruise through the Caribbean, across the Atlantic, through the Canary Islands, to North Africa, through Gibraltar, into the Mediterranean Sea, around Italy and Spain, back out through Gibraltar, stop at Portugal, and then back across the Atlantic to home at Fort Lauderdale arriving Dec. 12, 2011 (45 days).
As usual, your welcome to join Susy (alias Misu) and me on our adventure, but since our cabin only sleeps two (imagine I’m going to be in the same cabin as Susy for 45 days) you’ll have to follow along on this blog. This will be a hard cruise to blog because the front end and return are 7 days each on the Atlantic with not much to tell, but once we hit Africa/Europe it’s a port almost every day. I’m going to try to keep you up to date, but if I get behind, I apologize up front.
Since we have some time before sailing, I want to give you a good look at the itinerary and the ship we’ll be taking.
First the itinerary:
As you can see we are sailing aboard the MS Maasdam. We where on the Maasdam when we took the Fort Lauderdale to Montreal cruise in May of 2009. It’s one of the older ships as you can see below:
But it’s a confortable ship and it should be a wonderful home for 45 days.
Here’s just a few photos of the ship:
And our favorite place:
And you thought I was going to show the dining room, OK, just two more:
It’s been awhile since you have visited this blog, so I’ll remind you that if you want to see the photos above in full screen, so you can read the writing, just put your curser in the center of the photo and double left click and the picture should go into your picture viewer. To get back to the blog just close your viewer. If you have any problems please send me an email and I try to help.
Well, that’s it for the first entry. I’ll next update you a few days after we have sailed, but certainly no later than Nov. 3rd after we have visited the first two ports.
Love You All,
Gary (alias Gagu)
